Janssen Powers, a Seattle-born filmmaker based in Los Angeles, is celebrated for blending raw narratives with cinematic visuals.
Starting in documentary filmmaking, his work evolved naturally into commercial projects, driven by demand for his authentic storytelling style. Known for his fearless approach, Powers has filmed sharks from submarines, captured polar daylight, and shared meals with soldiers in war zones, always highlighting natural beauty and humanity. His work has won multiple awards, including a Webby for Stella Artois, an 1.4 Award for his documentary A Portrait of Iraq, as well as several shortlists at Young Directors Awards, the Webby and 1.4 Award. Splitting his time between LA and Portland, Powers brings a unique artistic perspective to each project.
